Spring has sprung!
A post about the small joys that I am grateful for this month
Hello my internet friends!
I hope you are all well and having a lovely spring day(or autumn day if you are in the other side of the world). I am a little later than usual because I have been busy. I have been busy working on a lovely commission that will launch this winter, preparing for my son’s 3rd birthday (when did you grow this much, boy?!), sowing plants on my balcony pots (cross your fingers for us!) but as well as paralyzing myself with worrying global news, and thinking what is the meaning of genuineness that we forget under this attention economy.
Before moving forward, I would like to celebrate all Aries' birthdays , please find your gift here:
Last weekend, my son turned three, officially a toddler! We celebrated my wild boys’ birthday with a jungle party theme. For the occasion, I created a “thank you card” which I put it in the small gift bags that I prepared for his friends. I like cutting paper and shaping the characters around the traces of scissors. Below, you can see some of the process photos.
I cooked and baked for 25 people and the most loved one was the turtle cookies, they look sweet, right?
My collaboration with Anthropologie has launched! (Yay!) Together we created the perfect Sunday brunch outfit, you can explore them here: https://www.anthropologie.com/search?q=berry+aktuglu
I am so grateful to be part of the Anthropologie’s world! This is my third time collaborating with them and they have the kindest team that always keep me uplifted!
My shop is having a “Spring Discount”.
As the world outside feels ever more relentless, our homes become sacred havens, a place of refuge and safety. It's where we turn to the people we cherish most. If you're like me and are looking for ways to make your home even more cozy and welcoming, or you have eyes on something from my shop, now is the time! Use the code SPRING25 at checkout for 25% off.
Speaking of webshop, I am thinking of launching a new Pastel Series in the upcoming months. Here I am experimenting with Caran D’ache neopastels.
This is all from my side this month, friends. Starting from next week, I am thinking of taking some time off to grab my focus back from constant stimulation, to live without frequently checking the news, re-regulate my dopamine levels by welcoming “boredom and stillness” back into my life and to continue to enjoy the small things. Next month I will be back with Taurus and Gemini signs, stay tuned!

Another post of yours that blooms some flowers in my mind :) Love the neopastel works btw.
The illustrations for your son’s birthday party are so beautiful! X
